Named after the St. Vrain river, Swing St. Vrain is Longmont, Colordo's "oldest and best Gypsy Swing band." I have played bass with them since early 2016.
I had the coincidence of starting to use a tablet to display chord charts and lead sheets around the same time I started playing with them. But in addition to using it in lieu of printed music, I also started to make recordings of each of our gigs. They're not great recordings -- we often play in noisy or otherwise less-than-perfect acoustic environments, without ideal mic placement (perched atop my music stand!), and I record at a very low sample rate to produce small raw audio files -- but they're useful for reference.
